Money Saving Tips for Makeup Shopping

If you’re thinking, “why do I need to save money on makeup?”, you might be in the wrong place. However, if you clicked on this post looking for ways to keep some of your coins, but indulge yourself, keep reading.

Makeup is one of those things that makes me happy. I dont proclaim to be anyone’s makeup guru. I’m enrolled in You Tube University like the rest of us. I’m always searching tutorials about how to contour, eyeshadow palette looks, swatches and such.

Collecting makeup is an expensive habit. When they say beauty is pain, they mean in more ways than one. You can break the bank trying to get all these new releases and products. Today, I have tips for you on how to get your favorite makeup products for less. I’m talking big name brands. Lets get right to it!

The first tip I have is to check out Sephora’s Weekly Wow. I know you’re thinking Sephora never has sales. I’m here to tell you that they do, every single week. During the weekly sale, you can catch select products for 50% off. The products vary weekly, but I’ve caught things by Anastasia Beverly Hills, Becca, Cover FX and Tarte on sale. The deals are available online and in store.

My second tip is to check at non conventional retailers for beauty deals. I’m talking about stores like Macy’s or QVC. These retailers often have sales on big name beauty products with little to no fanfare in the beauty community. Meaning that you can snag the same brands in Ulta and Sephora for a lot less. Sign up for their emails to be notified of sales. Recently I found out about Macy’s 10 days of beauty sale this way.

Finally, follow or subscribe to blogs or social media pages that focus on posting beauty sales or affordable dupes of products. You can either get the product for less or the look for less. Here are a couple of sites and Instagram pages to get you started: Nouveau Cheap , Dupe That, and Makeup Dupes.

Happy Shopping!
