Lately, white nails have been on my radar. A classic white manicure looks good on on anyone, but I really like the contrast on my dark skin. Finding the right polish is the major key to making this look good. There are all sort of white polishes out there, but you dont want it to look like you painted your nails with white out. Unless thats your thing, then by all means go for it.
My go-to for soft polishes is Essie. They make the best soft, feminine colors in a range of buildable shades that will have your hands looking chic and ladylike. For my white manicure, I chose Tuck It In My Tux. Essie describes this polish as a “silken ivory creme, tailored to perfection this silken ivory crème is devastatingly elegant and in total control.”
It took 3 coats to get the color to my liking and to not see easily through the nail tips. I used Kiss full cover nail tips in the square style because I wanted a little length. My natural nails are cut down pretty short at the moment.
These DIY nails are right up my alley because they’re a win win for cost and style. I get my white nail fix for the moment! I’m in love with these. This manicure cost less than 10 dollars because I already owned the top coat, press on nails and nail glue. Here is everything I used to achieve this look:
